Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 July 2026
MTContext is a technology and software infrastructure provider. We do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and are not a registered financial adviser or broker. Nothing on this site, in our software, or in our documentation is financial product advice. See §3 No Financial Advice and §8 Trading Risk & Your Responsibility below.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MTContext website, dashboard, Expert Advisor (EA) files, Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint, and related services (together, the “Service”), provided by MTContext (“MTContext”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, installing the EA, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” refers to both you and that organisation.
2. What the Service Is
MTContext provides a software bridge that connects a MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 terminal you control to MCP-compatible AI clients (such as Claude or Cursor) over a licensed, authenticated connection. The Service includes:
- An Expert Advisor (.ex4/.ex5) that runs inside your MetaTrader terminal;
- A hosted MCP endpoint that your AI client connects to using a license key;
- A dashboard for managing terminals, license keys, billing, and audit history; and
- Tools exposed through that endpoint for reading market data and, where your tier and the
dry_runparameter allow it, submitting trading instructions to your own MetaTrader terminal.
We supply the technology layer only. We do not operate as your broker, custodian, or counterparty; we do not hold, transmit, or have access to your trading account funds; and we do not execute trades on our own initiative. Every trading instruction that reaches your terminal originates from a request you or your AI client sent, subject to the safeguards described in our documentation (e.g. explicit dry_run: false confirmation, lot-size and margin validation).
3. No Financial Advice
The MTContext software, website, and associated documentation are provided for general information and technical facilitation only. They do not constitute financial product advice, investment recommendations, or an endorsement of any trading strategy. None of our services take into account your personal objectives, financial situation, or needs. Any output generated by an AI client connected through MTContext — including analysis, suggestions, or trade parameters — is not advice from MTContext and has not been reviewed by a licensed financial professional on our behalf.
4. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service, and you must hold your own account with a MetaTrader-compatible broker. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering, for keeping your login credentials and license keys confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@mtcontext.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account or a leaked license/terminal key.
5. License to Use the Software
Subject to these Terms and your active subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run the MTContext Expert Advisor on MetaTrader terminals you control, and to connect to the MCP endpoint using a license key issued to you. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse engineer, or white-label the Service except where a plan expressly permits white-labelling. We may suspend or revoke a license key that is shared, abused, or used in violation of these Terms.
6. Subscriptions, Fees & Billing
Paid tiers are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. Trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends. Fees are shown on our pricing page and may change on notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the dashboard billing portal at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or your broker’s terms;
- Attempt to circumvent license, rate, or capability limits tied to your tier;
- Use the Service to manipulate markets, engage in wash trading, or interfere with the integrity of any trading venue;
- Probe, scan, or attempt to disrupt the availability of the Service; or
- Share your license or terminal key with anyone outside your organisation.
8. Trading Risk & Your Responsibility
High-Risk Warning. Trading in financial markets (including forex, equities, and cryptocurrency) using automated tools, artificial intelligence, or algorithmic execution involves a high degree of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You are solely responsible for configuring your AI clients, validating positions, and managing your own brokerage accounts.
You are solely responsible for every instruction that reaches your MetaTrader terminal through the Service, whether you entered it directly or an AI client generated it, including reviewing any dry_runpreview before confirming a live order. We are not responsible for losses arising from trades executed on your terminal, broker outages, slippage, connectivity interruptions, or errors or omissions in an AI client’s output.
9. Independent Advice
Before making any financial or investment decisions, or utilising automated trading bridges such as this one, you should seek independent advice from a licensed financial professional to determine if it is appropriate for your unique circumstances. Use of the MTContext software is entirely at your own risk.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service interoperates with third parties we do not control, including your broker, MetaQuotes’ MetaTrader platform, and MCP-compatible AI clients (such as Anthropic’s Claude or Cursor). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party systems, and integrating with them is not an endorsement of any particular broker or AI provider.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the EA binaries, dashboard, and documentation, is owned by MTContext or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand features except as needed to identify the Service.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except to the extent such warranties cannot be excluded by law (including any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that apply to you).
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MTContext will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, trading losses, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MTContext harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your trading activity, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §8, §9, §12, §13, and §14) will survive.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with an updated “Last updated” date, and material changes will be notified via the dashboard or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection law gives you additional rights that cannot be waived.
