Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information MTContext (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website, dashboard, Expert Advisor (EA), and MCP endpoint (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up we collect your email address and authentication details through our identity provider, Clerk. If you subscribe to a paid tier, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your billing details (e.g. card details, billing address); we receive a subscription identifier and billing status, not your full card number.

Terminal & usage data

When you connect a MetaTrader terminal, we store a hashed license/terminal key, a terminal identifier and label you choose, and an audit log of tool calls made through the MCP endpoint — including the tool name, the connecting AI client’s name, the originating IP address, timestamp, and whether the call was a dry run or a live action and its result. If you use optional features, we also store what you enter into them: journal entries, price/indicator alert configuration, and equity-guard thresholds.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) on the marketing site to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns. This sets cookies and collects standard web analytics data (pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device/browser type). See Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data.

2. What We Don’t Collect

We never ask for or store your MetaTrader account password or your broker login credentials. Authentication to the Service is performed using a license/terminal key that we generate and that you can revoke at any time from the dashboard — it is not your broker password and does not grant access to your broker’s client portal.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including authenticating requests to your terminal;
• To process payments and manage subscriptions;
• To provide support and respond to your requests;
• To maintain the audit log so you can review activity on your own account and terminals;
• To detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents; and
• To understand aggregate product usage and improve the Service.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, including: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (billing), our cloud hosting and database providers, and Google Analytics (aggregate site analytics). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MTContext, our users, or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and audit-log data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, security, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account as described in §7 Your Rights below.

6. Data Security

License and terminal keys are stored hashed, not in plaintext. We use industry-standard transport encryption (TLS) for data in transit and access controls to limit who within MTContext can access production data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing — for example under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, or under the EU/UK GDPR if those laws apply to you. To exercise these rights, email support@mtcontext.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

8. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary — set by our authentication provider, Clerk, to keep you signed in. These cannot be disabled without breaking the ability to log in, and do not require consent.
• Analytics (optional) — set by Google Analytics (GA4) to measure aggregate site usage. These are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

Until you accept analytics cookies, we keep Google Analytics in a consent-denied state (Google Consent Mode) so no analytics cookie is written to your browser. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page, or by clearing the mtcontext_cookie_consententry in your browser’s local storage.

9. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where this involves a transfer of personal information out of Australia or the EU/UK, we rely on our providers’ standard contractual and security safeguards.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated “Last updated” date, and will notify you of material changes via the dashboard or email.
